Ladies: FB Agents vs UC Face Off PDF Print E-mail

The Agents ladies did not have the best start to the 2011/12 season, having lost their first game to a strong UA Sonics 1 team. The second game of the season promised to be another tough game for the ladies. After an early start and a long journey north to Groningen, the Agents lined up against last season’s closest rival: UC Face Off. The match had been chosen as “match of the day” by the online floorball magazine and that was certainly how it was played.

FB Agents ladies win preliminaries PDF Print E-mail

The FB Agents ladies have passed through the preliminaries with an extraordinary result: newly promoted from the second division, we remain unbeaten after eight matches and are qualified for the play-offs top of the table with a five-point lead over the numbers 2, UC Face Off.

Our last match in the preliminaries, last Saturday, was also our most important one so far, as it would decide who would win the preliminaries. We occupied first position, but Face Off was only two points behind, so a win over us would put them in the lead. Thus, we were determined to beat our currently most important competitor for the championship. The match therefore promised to be an exciting one.

On the 30th of December we will have an extra training in de Oostenburghal, to work off the Christmas puddings, ostkaka, kerststol, Joululimppu, tomtegröt, etc. The regular Thursday hall will be closed on that day, due to the school holidays, but we can all meet up at the Oostenburghal to have a mixed big field training with lots of game playing. So mark you agendas:

FB Agents finish 2nd in Euro Floorball Cup qualification PDF Print E-mail

The Dutch men’s champions, FB Agents from Amsterdam, managed to seize the runner-up position in the qualification round of the Euro Floorball Cup, western division, staged in Oslo, Norway, August 25 – 29. The team finished just two points behind the Norwegian champions Tunet IBK. “An amazing effort by an amazing team”, said team coach Ulrik Jonsson.


With only one out of five competing teams qualifying for the final round – to be played in Latvia in October – Agents were facing a hard task needing to beat not only the Norwegian champions, but also the French, Spanish and Italian title holders.

Jeugd bij de FB Agents

Sinds kort kunnen ook kinderen bij de FB Agents floorballen. Elke woensdag van 19:00 tot 21:00 (in de Gymzaal 2e Daltonschool - Willem Witsenstraat 6 Amsterdam) wordt er onder leiding van enthousiaste floorballers training gegeven aan kinderen van group 5, 6 en eventueel 7.

 

Training en Competitie

In dit eerste jaar (seizoen 2010-2011) zal er getraind worden en zal er af en toe een toernooi gespeeld worden om bekend te raken met hoe een echte wedstrijd precies gaat. Als er genoeg jeugdleden zijn is er ook de mogelijkheid om (vanaf volgend seizoen) competitie te gaan spelen tegen andere Nederlandse teams.

 

Materialen

Voor het beoefenen van floorball heb je een aantal materialen nodig. Naast sportkleding en zaalschoenen, heb je een stick en ballen nodig. De stick en een bal kun je de eerste paar trainingen van ons lenen. Als je het zo leuk vindt dat je lid wilt worden, dan is het handig om zelf een stick te kopen. (Kosten voor de jeugd liggen tussen de 15-20eu voor een stick en deze zijn via ons te verkrijgen).

 

Lid worden?

Heb je helemaal zin gekregen om het floorballen een keer te proberen? Dat kan! Je mag 3x gratis meedoen voordat je beslist of je lid wordt. De trainers kunnen je dan meer vertellen over de vereniging.

Lid worden kan door het invullen van een lidmaatschapsformulier. Ben je jonger dan 18 jaar, dan moet je deze in laten vullen door je ouders.
