Our first match on the schedule was against Messed Up, the team we had the best chance of wining against. Although we were in fact in charge of the game, we weren’t able to make good use of our chances and the game ended in a 2-2 draw. After this, we had to play HDM, last years champions in both the NeFUB-Cup and the Competition. For the first period we managed to put up a good fight, end at half time we were losing by only 1 goal. However, in the second period our tiredness got a grip on us and we eventually lost 7-0. The third game of the day then was against UA Sonics, also considered to be a difficult team. Even though we took an early lead in the game, soon after Sonics took the definite upper hand, and defeated us 8-1.

Although the scores may not reflect it, we didn’t play too bad at all and our team definitely has potential for the coming season. Let’s just not see the NeFUB-Cup as an omen for what’s to come in the Competition. In our first Competition game next Saturday we will play UA Sonics again and then we’ll do everything in our power to turn the tables. For our ultimate goal this season is still to win the competition and, of course, to have lots of fun on the way.
