The floorball season has started off fairly intensively for us ladies, with last weekend as the third weekend of playing in a row. This time UFC Utrecht 2 was our opponent. We watched them play in their match against HDM two weeks ago and we knew that, even though we had secured some relatively easy wins over Utrecht 2 in the previous season, they were not to be underestimated.

The match was to take place in Utrecht. UFC Utrecht 2 showed up at their home base with the impressive number of 14 players, but we were determined to show that quality is more important than quantity. It turned out that our teams were quite matching in strength, and this lead to a very exciting and fun game, in which the score was tied in 1-1 after the first period. In the second period a beautiful goal by Eline put the Agents in the lead and this got us all really in the winning mood. However, during the third period Utrecht managed to fight back to a 3-2 lead. With only 90 seconds left on the clock we managed to get equal again, but this meant that the score of 3-3 was the end result of the game.

Thus unfortunately we again didn’t succeed in achieving a win this weekend. But the season has only just started and I am certain that our chance will still come. After one loss and one draw, maybe next weekend will be the opportunity to secure our first win in our match against Quick Feet. Last weekend we showed that we have the skills and the determination, now we just have to prove it. And I know we can.
