The FB Agents ladies have passed through the preliminaries with an extraordinary result: newly promoted from the second division, we remain unbeaten after eight matches and are qualified for the play-offs top of the table with a five-point lead over the numbers 2, UC Face Off.

Our last match in the preliminaries, last Saturday, was also our most important one so far, as it would decide who would win the preliminaries. We occupied first position, but Face Off was only two points behind, so a win over us would put them in the lead. Thus, we were determined to beat our currently most important competitor for the championship. The match therefore promised to be an exciting one.

And so it was. After the first period the score was still tied at 0-0, but we soon gained a 0-3 lead in the second period. However, in the third period Face Off strongly rebounded to 2-3. With only four minutes left to play, we managed to extend our lead again to 2-4, but within a minute Face Off responded with another goal. We then faced the difficult task of preserving our precarious one-goal lead in the last minutes of the match. Luckily, after three blood-curdling and exhausting last minutes, we came out on top with a final result of 3-4.

This result yields us a five-point head start in play-offs. Our goal now, of course, is to secure the championship. It won't be an easy task, as the other teams in the play-offs are, each and every one, strong and competent teams. But so are we! We will go all out to win the championship and to show that the Agents rock!
