On the 13th of October, the ladies of Amsterdam took of to Utrecht to play against their first ladies team. We knew they would be pretty good, since they were first in their Cup poule and last year they had some good, but physically playing, ladies.

We all arrived, almost on time, and had a very good and focused preparation. Our prophecy was correct, they were a very good and physically playing team. In no time they were leading 3-0. I thought we were going to lose, considering we only had 2 changes. But we somehow managed to recover and by some more focused play we came back to 3-3. We played really solid, but made one mistake that they used to score. The last minutes were nerve racking but we scored again. 4-4 and only a minute to play!

We had a difficult decision to maken. Would we choose to play with 6 players, or just the power line, or only defensive? Would we settle for a tie or go for the victory? Well, we couldn't risk loosing now, so we kept the goalie in the goal and played with the power line. We made no mistakes, but also couldn't score again. The tie felt like a victory. Good work girls!
